'Alternative milks are killing our dairy farms'

As Americans drink less cow's milk, thousands of US dairy farms are struggling to get by. Some say the rise of alternative milks such as oat and soy is driving the trend.

One farmer tells the BBC that he thinks "no one defends" cow's milk, despite it being the "perfect food".

Podcasts grow as alternative media form

Sheletta Brundidge could have used TV, blogs, YouTube, books, radio or newspapers. Instead, she chose podcasts. Her mission was to present the stories of black people, and she concluded that podcasts were best way to do it. "Everyone is making podcasts," said Brundidge, a Cottage Grove radio producer who launched seven podcasts on Feb. 1. They are among the 850,000 podcasts and 30 million total episodes in the U.S., according to podcastinsights.com .
